Enjoy the coastline this Valentine’s Day with a beach picnic! This is one of our favorite options because it is so customizable, however it does take a bit of planning. Make a good impression by packing your date’s favorite treats and bringing a blanket or chairs down to the shoreline to share a meal with the sound of crashing waves in the background. Depending on the weather, make sure to dress warm and pack a few blankets to stay cozy!

2. Chasing Tails 5K and Vystar Valentine Fun Run

Jacksonville is certainly home to many dog lovers and runners. If you and your date fit both of those categories, this could be the perfect Valentine’s activity for you! Taking place on Saturday, February 11th this 5K is also dog friendly. Your four-legged friend can either come with you on the race or hang out with a friend at the Kanine Social dog park! After the race there will be food trucks & live music for you, your date, and your pup to enjoy! If a 5K is a bit too long for you, check out the 1-mile fun run taking place on the same day. 3. Riverside Arts Market

The Riverside Arts Market makes for a great date any weekend, and Valentine’s weekend is no different! The market will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday, February 11th. Bring your date and check out the local vendors before stopping by a food truck for lunch, and finish off the date with a walk by the river. Perhaps you still need to shop for your significant other - grab a friend and complete your shopping from the local vendors. Bringing your children with you? There will also be a special table set up for Valentine’s Day card making! Remember, the market takes place every Saturday from 10am-3pm under the I-95 bridge in Riverside.

4. Ortega River Club Dinner & Dance

Do your Valentine’s Day plans feel incomplete? Maybe an opportunity to take the dance floor with your partner is exactly what you need. Enjoy an evening of dancing with a dinner catered by Chef Cecy Webb. The Ortega River Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner and dance on Saturday, February 11th.
