Catty Shack Ranch traces its roots to the passion and expertise of its founder, executive director, and curator, Curt LoGiudice. The journey began over 30 years ago when Curt, initially engaged in training police dogs, found his calling working with exotic animals. Over time, he acquired the necessary licenses, paving the way for a remarkable evolution of the Catty Shack.
More than 30 years ago, The Florida Panther Project recognized Curt's dedication and expertise, extending an invitation for him to become a Jacksonville representative for education services focused on endangered panthers. This pivotal moment marked the inception of Catty Shack Ranch as not just a sanctuary but a vital player in wildlife education and conservation.
Today, the sanctuary continues his vision, providing a forever home for big cats and serving as a beacon for education and conservation efforts.
