Over the years we’ve had many memorable transactions and built strong relationships with our customers. In this post we want to share each agent’s answer to the question, “What has been your most memorable real estate transaction on The Rocco Group?”. 


“One of my most memorable real estate moments was when I listed my first multi-million dollar property. The house was exquisite - a complete dream of a home for a Realtor to have the opportunity to sell. From the oceanfront views to one-of-a-kind details throughout the home, this property was unmatched to anything I had sold in the past. Even though the seller was aware that this was my first time listing a home in this price range, they appreciated my approach, knowledge of the market, marketing strategies, and most importantly my honesty & integrity. Because of these reasons, they chose to list with me over more experienced agents in the area. We are still friends today even though they reside in another state. The long-lasting relationships over the years are the most memorable parts of my career as a real estate agent.”

“I met Chris in 2018 soon after I moved to Jacksonville, and we quickly became close friends. He is from Jacksonville and has always wanted to build a homestead outside of town for him and his family. As we talked more about the options, he soon realized that this wasn’t just a dream - it could become a reality! Our search commenced, and we went not walking, but hiking through several different pieces of land to find the right fit. We ended up on a plot in Bryceville, FL near the Georgia border. It was vastly overgrown, with trees and bushes that have never seen a pair of trimmers. Fast forward one year, and his dream home is making amazing progress. I recently visited the property and his brother’s home has been completed and Chris’ house is at the drywall stage. Every chance he gets, Chris shares that the realization of his dream would not be possible without me, but I also make sure Chris knows that because of people like him, I am able to realize dreams of my own!”

“My most memorable transaction would have to be with our customer Brian. He came to us and said he wouldn't be able to buy for at least a year. He was using a VA loan and we were able to snag a home in the historic district of Avondale. We knew going into the transaction that it was going to be tough: the roof was 19 years old and there were wood-destroying-organisms & chipped paint all throughout the house. The seller agreed to complete approximately $25,000 in repairs. This transaction took about 45 days and Brian was so patient and calm through the entire process. We walked out on closing day with a brand new roof, updated plumbing, a freshly painted house, and the WDO damage repaired on the home & detached garage.”

“Kim’s dream has always been to own a home at the beach since she's been renting there for the last seven years. Not only that, but she wanted a place to truly call her own that her family could visit. Kim and I already connected on a different level because of our shared teaching background. With her teacher salary and the dream location of Jacksonville Beach, there was only one condo community within her price point. Even so, all of the condos on the market at the time would put her too high on her monthly payment. I told Kim to have hope as I didn’t see it being impossible to find her dream place. Then finally one condo popped up on the market in the exact price point she needed within the beach condo community her eyes were on, and we snagged it right away! Not only did we get it at list price, but it appraised $20k above list and she received $1700 in credits from the seller and listing agent. On top of that, she used the Hometown Heroes program through Bank of England and ended up with $0 cash to close! As she walked out of closing she burst into tears because she never thought that she would be able to own a home.”

“My most memorable transaction has been with my friend, Lisa. She originally came to us looking for a rental home. When I spoke with her, it was very clear that she was feeling defeated. She told me that she had talked to several agents prior to speaking with us and felt that she had no hope left. We ended up getting her into a townhome that she was able to purchase! After Lisa closed she pulled me to the side with tears in her eyes and started telling me that I saved her from this dark place in life. Along the way, I got to know her on a soul level and we have created this beautiful friendship.  It was truly a blessing that I was able to help her find a home of her own – even when the odds were stacked against her.”
