1. Mickler’s Landing
A frequently visited beach in Northeast Florida, Mickler’s Landing is known for its abundant shark teeth and is also popular among surfers. Not far from Jacksonville, this spot is easily accessible and a favorite for many in the area.
2. North Guana Outpost
This surf shop is close in proximity to Mickler’s Landing. Their staff is extremely helpful and will not only help you find your beach day supplies, but also offer guided eco tours of the North Guana River from their private drop-off point.
3. The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach
A private community in PVB, The Plantation is known for its top-notch amenities that are exclusive to its residents. Members of the community enjoy the private beach house, 18-hole golf course, pickleball courts, and many more community features available for the whole family.
4. Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is the spot to be for live entertainment in this seaside area. Grab your friends and family and enjoy the variety of shows that are offered at this venue.
5. Barbara Jean's on the Water
One of the best places to eat in PVB, you won’t want to miss out on Barabara Jean’s. They have been awarded Best Crab Cake in Jacksonville for 5 years in a row, and we can confirm that they are amazing!
6. Sawgrass Village & Foxtail Coffee
Sawgrass Village is a shopping & dining hub in the area with plenty of restaurants and boutiques. Here is where you will find Foxtail Coffee, a new local favorite with responsibly sourced organic coffee beans.
7. The Yards
This is a unique 12-hole golf course that neighbors the famous TPC Sawgrass. You don’t need to be a pro to play on this course with 3, 6, and 12-hole round options!
8. Bird Island Park
A wonderful outdoor park for the days when you want to get outside with the family but don’t want to hit the beach. Bird Island Park is beautifully maintained and conveniently located next to the St. Johns library.
9. St. Johns Library & Seymour’s Bookstore
Inside the St. Johns public library you will also find Seymour’s Bookstore. Run by volunteers, Seymour’s accepts book donations and offers a wide selection of books for sale to support the local library.
10. Guana River
The Guana River is a great place to take a boat or kayak for a day of exploration. Located extremely close to the shoreline, you can watch the sunrise on the beach before floating down the river for a day of kayaking.
